Chester is a city found along the Welsh border in Cheshire.  This walled city is one of the best preserved walled cities in Britain also Chester-Cathedraloffering a number of Medieval buildings as well as some that had some major restoration worked during the Victorian era, most of the cities architecture dates from the Victorian period and many of the buildings showcase the Jacobean style, which is a half timbered style. The history of Chester dates back to at least Roman times when the city was founded as a Roman fort in AD 79, this was originally known as Deva Victrix, originally garrisoned by the military this fort attracted civilian settlers who expanded the population as trade between the fort and settlers grew.
