Bath
The city of Bath can be found in the wonderful county of Somerset, England. This historical city is well known for it’s Roman Baths of which the city was named. It is thought that originally the a shrine was built close to the hot springs by the Celts and was dedicated the the goddess Sulis. The Roman started to build a temple in between 60-70 ad and during the next 300 years the bathing complex built up. The Roman name Aquae Sulis (“the waters of Sulis”) was adopted for this town and used for many years until it became simply known at Bath.
With a long history dating back to Mesolithic period the area surround Bath has been in heavy use throughout history. With amazing architecture that includes some interesting buildings like Bath Abby which originally dates back to 7th century although it has been rebuild several times since then.
Bath really is an interesting and historical place to visit with plenty of things to see and do.
